TERMS & REFUNDS · LAST UPDATED 8 JULY 2026

Terms, in plain language

The deal is simple: you pay for a working part, and that's what you get — or it gets fixed.

1. Who you're dealing with

REALIS3D is operated by Anrich Ling trading as REALIS3D, Cape Town, South Africa ("we", "us"). By placing an order you agree to these terms. Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

2. Quotes and pricing

The instant quote is calculated from your uploaded file's geometry and current material rates. The quoted price is the price — it changes only if you change the order (material, quantity, options) or if your file materially differs from what's printable (for example, a corrupt mesh that must be repaired into different geometry). In that case you approve the revised price before printing starts.

Minimum order value is R150. Courier costs are additional, calculated at checkout and passed through at cost.

3. Payment

Payment is required in full before printing begins. Until online checkout launches, payment is by secure payment link sent after you place your order.

4. Turnaround and same-day dispatch

Same-day dispatch applies when all of the following hold: order placed before 11:00 (SAST), total order print time finishing before the day's courier collection window, a same-day material, and the production queue open. The quote page states which turnaround applies to your order before you pay; that statement is the binding one.

Where same-day does not apply, your dispatch date is shown at the quote stage and confirmed on payment. Materials other than PLA add the lead days shown on the quote — they run on slower print profiles and are dried properly before use. These are dispatch times, not delivery times — courier transit is additional and outside our control, though we only use tracked services.

5. Quality, QC photos and the auto-ship rule

Before dispatch, QC photos of your actual part are posted to your order dashboard at least 2 hours before the courier cutoff. You may flag anything for review or iteration during that window. If you don't respond, the part ships — silence is treated as approval. This keeps same-day dispatch possible.

6. Failed prints, off-spec parts and refunds

Tolerances: FDM printing is accurate to ±0.25 mm typically. Dimensions flagged as critical in your order brief are measured before packing.

7. Your files and your IP

Your design files remain your property, full stop. We use them solely to quote and produce your order. We do not print extra copies, share, sell, or reuse your designs. Files are deleted on request. See Privacy & your files.

You confirm you have the right to print what you upload. We may decline orders that infringe third-party rights or that are illegal to produce — including firearms and firearm components.

8. Courier and risk

Parts are packed properly and shipped via tracked courier. Risk passes to you on delivery. If a courier loses or damages a shipment, tell us and we'll pursue the claim and remake the part while that runs — you won't be left waiting on a courier dispute.

9. Liability

Printed parts are prototypes and functional parts, not certified components. Unless expressly agreed in writing, parts are not certified for safety-critical, medical, aerospace, or load-rated applications. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, to the extent the law allows.

10. Changes

These terms may be updated; the version on this page at the time you order applies to your order.
